Project Purpose/Outcomes : The eight- year HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia (HCPI) is a key component of a broader Australian government funded Australia-Indonesia Program for HIV (AIPH) and will share the goal of the Indonesian National HIV and AIDS Strategy and Action Plan for 2007-2010. HCPI’s purpose is to support Indonesia to plan, develop and implement an effective and sustainable response to HIV. It has four key components:

- Leadership: To contribute to Indonesia’s capacity to lead, plan and manage an effective and sustainable HIV response.
- Papua & West Papua: To support the development and implementation of an effective and sustainable response to HIV in Papua and West Papua.
- IDU: To strengthen programs addressing HIV associated with people who inject drugs.
- Prisons: To support the development and implementation of an effective and sustainable approach to HIV in prisons and closed settings.
